Testimonials: Chris 2008
Hi, my name is Chris. I am very blessed because God actually wanted to know me personally. Can you believe it? It means so much to believe that a person like me is special enough to be desired by the almighty God. He loved me so much that he sent his only begotten son to bear the punishment of my sin. We all know the damage a reckless, self-centered lifestyle can inflect on everyone around us. A few of my “main” sins were drunkenness, lying, dishonoring my mother, and idolatry. I could stand here and tell many stories of these transgressions, but it’s not my purpose or focus in life. Those stories are not healthy and do not bring glory to my Father’s glorious name. Instead I will talk about the positive works He has done for me!
The first thing He did for me was love me so much he did not condemn me (we all know I deserve it) but He made a way for reconciliation with me and all of us. He sent his son to bear the punishment for my sins of my past, present, and future. That gets me fired up and I pray that it does the same for all of you. Could any of you send your sons? I doubt it. Now that is true love. John 3:16 says” For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” That truly amazes me! Isaiah 38:17 says, “Indeed it was for my own peace that I had great bitterness; but you have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, for you have cast all my sins behind your back.” You and I think life is hard sometimes. We’ve got it easy. Jesus had it hard. He bore incredible paid, agony and torture just so sinners like us can be friends with him and our Father. No man on earth would ever dream of doing that to be friends with another man. That fact shows me how weak we really are.
He deserves more praise, love and devotion than we can give him. We can only show him everyday our love, faith, and praise. We should honor him in all of our thoughts and actions! I hope and pray for anyone who hasn’t accepted Christ as their Savior to invite him into your life as I have. He has blessed me with the most amazing love in the whole world and an incredible woman who truly cares and loves me. I don’t deserve her or Him, but they love me. All I can do is honor and thank them!! I live for my King of Kings, Jesus Christ and he provides all I need. He will do the same for you if you trust and let him. God bless and peace be with you all.
