Mike’s Testimony

James 2:10 says, “For whoever shall keep the whole law and yet stumble in one point he is guilty of all.”   I was born into a drug addicted family.  I was raised up thinking that a drug-driven lifestyle was normal.  I started using alcohol and drugs at the age of 13.  I was always trying to fill emptiness inside of me.  I ended up going to prison for my disobedience to God.  In 2011 I was delivered from despair at the Columbus Rescue Mission.  Jesus Christ gave me hope for my life again.  After awhile, I fell away from the right path, turning my back on Jesus and the people who helped me.  Proverbs 26:11 says, “As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool repeats his folly.”  I ended up crashing and burning again.  Jesus Christ and the Columbus Rescue Mission were there to pick me up and put me on my feet again.  They let me join the New Life Program again.  I am no longer separated from God.  I would be dead if it wasn’t for Jesus Christ and my brothers at the Columbus Rescue Mission.  Acts 3:19 says, “Now repent of your sins and turn to God so that your sins maybe wiped away.”  Proverbs 10:25 says, “When the whirlwind passed by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.”   Mike Gdowski
