Dave’s Testimony

Like most people, I have made many mistakes in my life however I have one mistake that is most grievous to me. That would be not following Jesus after responding to the Gospel call in my childhood while visiting the Twin Cities and listening to Pastor David Wilkerson. Because I drove my life on my terms and found all this under the sun business is truly vanity of vanities. Athletic and academic achievements, family, jobs, and houses only lead me to despair: darkness became my closest friend. That took me to hopelessness and I expressed this hopelessness in hatred. This hatred drove me away to the point of homelessness. Thankfully my wife is a fountain of faith. Linda did not give in to the destruction that my selfishness was leading my life and our family. After reconciliation between Linda and me, church was given another shot. However this church had a preacher who was using his Bible as never seen before. The Word was alive with the Spirit of God. The Bible was the key to finding my bedrock to build a life worth living. Learning to enjoy communing with the Holy Spirit empowered me to love Jesus as at that youth rally several years ago.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6
